Appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. In case of late cancellation or no-show, a fee may be charged.

Can't make it? Let us know in time, at least 24 hours in advance, by phone or email. An appointment not cancelled or cancelled too late may be charged, because that time was reserved for your child. Repeated no-shows may lead to ending the treatment.

Logopedie De Leerbrug is an accredited (conventioned) practice: we apply the official tariffs and conditions of the RIZIV/INAMI, which guarantees you a clear and correct price. You only pay the statutory co-payment yourself; the remainder is settled via the third-party payer system or through reimbursement with your health insurer. We are happy to go over the applicable tariffs and co-payment with you at the start of the treatment, and you can always request them. Payments are made as agreed at the outset; in the event of late payment, reminder or administration costs may be charged.

For reimbursement by your health insurer, a number of conditions set by the RIZIV/INAMI apply: • You need a valid medical prescription from your GP or a specialist (for example an ENT doctor or neurologist). • Based on a speech-language assessment, we compile a file that substantiates the treatment and the reimbursement. • Reimbursement varies depending on the condition, age and your situation; we are happy to help you find your way. If you come without a prescription, we can use a first screening (Direct Access to Speech Therapy) to assess whether speech therapy is appropriate for you and, if needed, refer you back to your doctor.

Invoices must be paid within the term stated on the invoice. In case of non-payment, administrative fees may be charged.

Speech therapy is human work, and sometimes your regular speech therapist is absent — for example due to illness, leave or training. In that case, the treatment may be temporarily taken over by a colleague speech therapist, so that your path is interrupted as little as possible and the continuity of your care is safeguarded. We always inform you of this in good time.

Everything you share with us is covered by professional confidentiality. We handle your data and your file with care and discretion. As part of your treatment and reimbursement, we prepare reports for the referring doctor and, where necessary, for the advisory doctor of your health insurer; with other parties (such as the school) we only share information with your explicit consent. Logopedie De Leerbrug is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the services provided.

Belgian law applies to our services and these terms. Disputes not resolved amicably are submitted to the competent courts of the judicial district of East Flanders.
